Secure payments powered by Clover
What it does

Three ways payments move

Every card is collected by Clover's own hosted checkout, tokenized before it reaches anyone else, and charged through the Clover account you configured.

Take a payment

Add Clover as the payment method on any GoHighLevel checkout, invoice, or order form.

  • Clover-hosted card fields — card numbers never reach GoHighLevel or our servers
  • Works on funnels, order forms, and invoices
  • You keep your existing Clover processing rates

Save a card, charge it later

A customer can opt in to save their card at checkout.

  • Charge a saved card from a new invoice
  • Or from a GoHighLevel workflow step — the Clover One Time Charge action
  • No card re-entry, no separate card vault to manage

Refund without switching tools

Issue a refund from inside GoHighLevel.

  • Processed directly against the original Clover charge
  • No need to log into a separate Clover dashboard
  • Full or partial refunds

Safeguards

What this app will not do

This handles real money and real card data. The interesting part is what it refuses to do.

Card numbers never reach GoHighLevel
Card fields are rendered by Clover's own hosted iframe (Clover.js). Only a single-use token is sent back — never the card number, expiry, or CVV.
Your Clover account and rates stay exactly as they are
This app connects to the Clover account you already have. It doesn't create a new merchant account or change your existing processing agreement.
A charge is never sent twice
Every charge carries a unique idempotency key, so a retried request cannot accidentally charge a customer's card a second time.
A card is only saved with explicit opt-in
Customers see a plain checkbox to save their card. Nothing is saved silently in the background.
Your Clover credentials are encrypted at rest
The private key you connect is encrypted before it's stored, and is only decrypted server-side to call Clover's API on your behalf.
Straight answers

Before you install

Do I need a Clover account already?

Yes. This app connects an existing Clover merchant account to GoHighLevel — it doesn't set up a new Clover account or change your processing rates.

What do I need from my Clover account to connect it?

Your Clover Merchant ID, and a public/private key pair from your Clover dashboard's Ecommerce API Tokens page (under Settings > Ecommerce). Clover requires two-factor authentication on your account before that page is available — turn that on first if you haven't already.

Can I test it before going live?

Yes — there's a test mode toggle that points the app at Clover's sandbox instead of your live account, so you can run a full test charge before taking real payments.

Where does the credit card data actually go?

Straight to Clover. The card form is a Clover-hosted iframe, tokenized by Clover.js, and the resulting token is the only thing that reaches this app's server — never the card number itself.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

Your Clover account is untouched — uninstalling only removes the connection between GoHighLevel and Clover. Nothing changes on Clover's side, and no Clover data is deleted.

Does this support recurring or subscription billing?

Support for recurring charges is in progress. Right now, a saved card can be charged again on demand — from a new invoice or a workflow step — but not yet on an automatic schedule.

Take your first Clover payment through GoHighLevel.

Connect your Clover account and run a test charge in a few minutes — no changes to your existing Clover setup.
